Haw Phra Kaew is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha of Vientiane (formerly the royal temple of the Lao monarchy) and is located just across Setthathirat Road from Wat Si Saket. Although no longer a place of worship, Haw Phra Kaew museum contains a gilded throne, bronze frog drums, palm-leaf manuscripts and protects some of the most treasured Buddhist sculptures in Laos . . .
