The Burmese capital of Yangon has the feel of a city slowly returning to the earth. Mouldering buildings and crippled streets blend with the colour of fresh produce and, all the while, behind the city towers the sublime silhouette of the Schwedagon Pagoda. An evening spent inside the grounds of the Golden Stupa allows an insight into the spirituality inherent to Burma and at the heart of the strength of it's people.

A Day in Yangon
The Burmese capital of Yangon has the feel of a city slowly returning to the earth. Mouldering buildings and crippled streets blend with the colour of fresh produce and, all the while, behind the city towers the sublime silhouette of the Schwedagon Pagoda. An evening spent inside the grounds of the Golden Stupa allows an insight into the spirituality inherent to Burma and at the heart of the strength of it's people.
